Gdańsk Shakespeare Festival is a major international theatre event held annualy in the first week of August in Gdańsk and the Tri-City.

14th Shakespeare Festival in Gdańsk
This year, the 14th edition of the Shakespeare Festival will be held from 30th July to 8th August 2010. As part of the event, we will present three Polish performances nominated for this season's Cometition for Best Polish Production of William Shakespeare's Works. The audience will have the opportunity to see two performances of a eminent Lithuanian director Oskaras Korsunovas, two productions of Irina Brook (daughter of the famous Peter Brook), and a show by a renowned Hungarian director Attila Vidnvánszky.
14th Festival will host also Now Entertain... a monodrama of Andrzej Seweryn from the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre in Cracow.
